As part of our current exhibition “echos,” we presented a screening of Fereydoun in Late Summer, a documentary dedicated to the life and artistic journey of Fereydoun Ave, one of the artists featured in the exhibition.
Fereydoun Ave (b. 1945) is a pivotal figure in modern and contemporary Iranian art. Over the past five decades, he has been active as an artist, curator, designer and collector, playing an influential role in shaping Iran’s contemporary art scene. His works have been exhibited internationally and are held in major institutional collections including the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Centre Pompidou and the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
Directed by Bahman Kiarostami (b. 1978), Fereydoun in Late Summer offers an intimate portrait of Ave’s life, artistic practice and lasting cultural impact.
The screening took place at Soho House, bringing together audiences to reflect on the legacy of one of Iran’s most distinctive cultural figures.
